Cyberjaya, MY — July 23, 2019 — RunCloud, a cloud server management software for thousands of companies, based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia and focused on helping making deploying in software into the cloud easier, and DigitalOcean, the Developer Cloud based in New York, have partnered for the recent launch of RunCloud Education at Malaysia Tech Week. RunCloud Education was launched by the Minister of Education Malaysia, YB Dr. Maszlee Malik on 20 June 2019 in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
RunCloud provides cloud software to help developers and web agencies deploy websites in mere seconds, while also maintaining and securing websites and servers. The DigitalOcean Developer Cloud™ simplifies modern app creation for new generations of developers working independently, at tech startups, and within SMBs around the world. DigitalOcean's partnership with RunCloud and RunCloud Education is an important step towards the vision of educating students and preparing them for understanding the cloud computing industry and real-world applications.
As a partner, DigitalOcean's support will supply free credits to all students to deploy an application on a web server, which is assisted with RunCloud Education's assignments and projects in schools. As part of RunCloud Education, DigitalOcean will be hosting webinars to teach students how to setup and use the products of virtual cloud software and cloud services like RunCloud which will aid students in learning more about becoming better system web administrators.
Currently involved in RunCloud Education are 11 Universities and 5 Polytechnics with plans to expand into high school computer science classes, vocational-technical schools, and college curriculums. Universities that participate in the program will receive support from RunCloud and DigitalOcean which will be extended to students who participate in the programs throughout their time as a student.
