You can easily set up WordPress on your web server using the One-Click installer in RunCloud.
To install WordPress, follow these steps:
- Go to the Web Application menu and click on the One-Click installer tab. Make sure to select WordPress from the list. Provide a descriptive name for your application, and configure the owner of the application. This will not be visible to public – it will only be used in the RunCloud dashboard.
- After that, configure the domain name and the TLS certificate for your application. You can either leave these settings to default, or learn how to configure them from our knowledge base articles.
- Next, you’ll need to configure your WordPress site title and login credentials – these fields are mandatory. The site title will be displayed to your visitors, and the the username/password will be used to log into the WordPress dashboard.
- After this you can continue configuring WordPress, but this part is optional. You can either leave these settings to default, or learn to configure them from our knowledge base articles.
- Next, you will encounter the “Database” and “Backup” settings. If you don’t have any special requirements, we recommend you leave the database setting untouched. You can enable backup if you like, or you can enable it later after the installation.
- Finally, you’ll need to configure the Basic settings and server stack. This menu is slightly different for Nginx and OpenLiteSpeed servers – however the installation process is same. Select your preferred PHP version from the drop-down menu, and click “Deploy“.
- That’s it! Now just wait for RunCloud to complete the installation process and notify you. This process is amazingly fast, and usually takes less than 10 seconds.
