If you no longer want to host your web application on RunCloud, you can remove it from your RunCloud dashboard.
This will delete the files and databases associated with the web application within RunCloud.
Warning: Removing your web application from RunCloud is irreversible. You cannot restore the web application or its data once it is deleted from RunCloud. Make sure you have backed up any important files or databases before proceeding.
To remove your web application from RunCloud, follow these steps:
- On the RunCloud dashboard, select the server where your web application is hosted.
- Click on Web Application in the left sidebar.
- You will see a list of your web applications. To remove one, click the cog icon next to the application and select Delete.

- Alternatively, you can click on the web application name to open its details page. Then, click on Settings in the left sidebar and scroll down to the Danger Zone section. Click on Delete Web Application.
- Read the Delete Web Application instructions carefully and make sure you understand the consequences of removing your web application.

- Enter the name of your web application and select the Acknowledge Consequence checkbox to provide consent for deleting the web application.

- When deleting a web application, you now have the option to automatically delete the DNS record pointing to this web application. RunCloud will display a preview of exactly which records (Type, Name, and Content) will be removed, ensuring you have full oversight before proceeding.
We recommend deleting unnecessary DNS records to avoid dangling records that could expose your domain to security risks. However, if this domain previously handled significant traffic, you may want to retain the record and configure a redirect instead to preserve SEO and user experience.

- Once you click Proceed to Delete, your web application will be removed from your RunCloud dashboard. You will see a confirmation message indicating that the web application has been successfully deleted.
