RunCloud services initiate connections to your server from a defined set of IP addresses. If your server firewall or cloud security group blocks inbound traffic from these IPs, affected services will fail to function.
RunCloud uses two connection models:
- Browser-based tools, such as the File Manager, connect via RunCloud’s gateway servers. These connections are initiated from our gateway infrastructure.
- Services that run on your server and initiate outbound connections to external endpoints (such as SFTP backups to a remote server) are handled by the RunCloud Agent on your server.
If a firewall blocks traffic from the relevant IPs, the corresponding service will be unable to communicate.
IP Address Reference
Here is the list of IPs that you need to whitelist for RunCloud to function properly:
54.215.67.177
52.52.156.27
52.53.52.35
54.177.105.133
54.176.244.231Configure your firewall to allow inbound traffic from the relevant IPs on port 34210.
| Platform | Where to configure |
|---|---|
| AWS EC2 / Lightsail | Security Group inbound rules |
| DigitalOcean | Cloud Firewalls or server-level firewall |
| UFW / iptables | /etc/ufw/user.rules or iptables rules |
| CSF Firewall | Add IPs to /etc/csf/csf.allow |
| VPS provider firewall | Provider control panel |
If you are unsure which firewall your server uses, consult your hosting provider or server administrator.
