How Do I Change A Server’s IP Address?

If your VPS provider changes the public IP address of your server, you will need to update the IP address on RunCloud as well. Otherwise, RunCloud will not be able to connect to your server and manage your web applications.

To update your server IP address on RunCloud, follow these steps:

1. On the RunCloud dashboard, select the server whose IP address you want to update.
2. Click on Settings in the left sidebar.
3. Scroll down to the Update IP Address section and click on the Update IP Address button.

4. Enter the new IP address of your server and click Continue.

5. RunCloud will need to verify the new IP address before you can start using it. Log into your server via SSH and execute the command provided. This will update your IP address on the RunCloud dashboard.

Note: Updating your server IP address on RunCloud will not affect the actual VPS or its configuration. Only the records maintained in the RunCloud dashboard will change.
