The Top Path monitoring feature in RunCloud provides you with insights about your website, including which pages are most frequently visited by your users.
By following the steps below, you can effectively enable, view, and manage the Top Paths Monitoring feature in RunCloud, and gain valuable insights into your web application’s traffic patterns and performance.
- To get started, first log in to your RunCloud dashboard, navigate to the Web App section and select the desired web application.
- In the web app dashboard, locate the “Monitoring” option in the sidebar menu, and click on the “Monitoring” option to access the monitoring tools.
- On this screen, you’ll see three main monitoring features: Top Path, IP Address Hit, and Slow Script.
- To enable Top Path monitoring, click on the “Configuration” button and toggle the switch next to the Top Path monitoring feature to turn it on.
- After toggling the switch in the menu, click the checkbox below to confirm that you will allow RunCloud’s monitoring service to run in the background.
- Finally, click on “Save Configuration” to enable the monitoring.
- Once the monitoring is enabled, you will need to wait for approximately one minute for data to start appearing. After a few minutes, click on the “Top Path” tab in the monitoring section to refresh the page.
- Once the data starts appearing, you’ll see the following information:
- The full URL path on your website.
- HTTP method used (GET, POST, etc.)
- Bandwidth consumed
- Number of hits
- To filter out noise, or focus on specific data, you can use the time frame selector to narrow down the period you’re interested in. This allows you to look for patterns or unexpected high-traffic paths that might require attention.
Remember that data is collected in batches, so you may need to wait or refresh to see the most recent information.
