A CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a service that stores copies of your website or selected content on a network of servers, then sends that content to your visitors’ computers from the server that can do it the fastest. This can improve your website’s speed, performance, and security.
If you are using the Cloudflare integration on RunCloud, you can take advantage of Cloudflare’s vast network with a single click.
Open your dashboard and click on “DNS Manager“, then select the API key from the drop down menu – this will display all the available domains. Click on the domain to edit its DNS.
On the next screen, you can see a list of all the available subdomains. If you have multiple sites running on different domains, you can configure CDN individually without affecting the others.
Click on the “…” button and select “Edit” to change the DNS settings.
This will open up a pop-up menu. Change the proxy status to “Proxied“, and click “Save”.
Now all the requests for this domain will be routed through Cloudflare’s networks.
After making changes to DNS records, it’s a good idea to test your website and make sure everything is working properly. You can use tools such as Pingdom, GTmetrix, or WebPageTest to check your website’s speed and performance before and after enabling the proxy setting.
