The Import & Export feature in RunCache allows you to move your RunCache configuration between environments.
This lets you export your current settings to a JSON file and import them on another site to quickly replicate your caching setup.
Export Settings
In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Runcache > Import & Export, and click the Download JSON Export button to download your RunCache configuration as a JSON file.
The exported file contains:
- Page cache configuration and provider settings
- Automatic purging rules and schedules
- Preloader paths, schedules, and sitemap information
- Cache rules, including URL exclusions, cookie rules, and query parameter handling
- Object cache and CDN settings

Import Settings
In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Runcache > Import & Export, then scroll down to the Import Settings section to apply a previously exported RunCache configuration to the current site.
- Select JSON File
Click the Select JSON File button to choose an exported JSON file from your computer. Once selected, the file will be validated and ready for import.
- Import Settings
Note: Before proceeding with the import, it is strongly recommended that you back up your current settings in case you need to revert changes.
After selecting a valid JSON file, click the Import Settings button to apply the configuration. Importing will immediately replace and update all the cache settings on your site. This process will not affect or disrupt any other users or customers who are logged in to your WordPress site.
- Clear Selection
Click Clear Selection to remove the currently selected file and start over with a different file selection.
